You can quit out of a battle anytime by X-ing out the game entirely or pulling up the menu with the ESC key. If you quit you'll wind up right before the battle. Thus, you don't have to keep redoing the entire dungeon everytime. That's the only way I beat episode 6 hard mode for Witch.
